Extension of the application scope

A few weeks ago, Rittmeyer has tested clamp-on flow measurement on cement-lined pipes in Japan and Malaysia. For precise flow measurements, exact geometries and good receive signals (from the ultrasonic transducers) are essential. Especially in case of cement-lined pipes, usually not all pipe parameters are well-known or trustworthy and some trial-and-error methods are necessary.
The tested cement-lined pipes had diameters from 0.25m up to 0.9m. Although the receive signals seem to be quite low, stable and accurate flow measurements were possible with the RISONC clamp-on measuring system.
The customers were very satisfied with the results, compared to existing reference systems.
